ANACEC Participates in 2025 EQAVET Annual Network Meeting on Vocational Education and Training

Warsaw, Poland | 12–13 June 2025 — The Republic of Moldova, represented by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC), took part in the 2025 EQAVET Annual Network Meeting held in Warsaw, Poland. The event gathered 64 participants from 32 countries, including 25 EU Member States and 7 non-EU countries, all working in the field of quality assurance in vocational education and training (VET).

Hosted by Poland, the Annual Network Meeting brought together key stakeholders from EU national reference points, the European Commission, the European Training Foundation (ETF), Cedefop, and thematic experts to explore the latest developments, tools, and initiatives in the field of vocational education.

During the event, Poland showcased its national measures to improve the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of its VET system. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from four member states’ initiatives, take part in interactive discussions, and network with international peers.

Key highlights included policy updates from the European Commission on the Union of Skills, the Action Plan on Basic Skills, the STEM Education Strategic Plan, Europass Mobility, and the Learning Lab. The European Training Foundation presented updates on its diagnostic tool for self-evaluation and its self-assessment tool, ISATCOVE, while Cedefop shared insights on quality in continuing VET (CVET) and key competences in initial VET (IVET). The OECD presented research on the use of AI in curriculum and qualification development, including support for neurodiverse learners in VET.

The EQAVET Secretariat concluded with an overview of mutual learning and communication activities within the network since June 2024, along with reflections on the first round of system-level peer reviews held during 2022–2023.

ANACEC’s participation underscores the Republic of Moldova’s commitment to aligning with European standards in quality assurance and enhancing the effectiveness of its vocational education system.
