ANACEC strengthens the Republic of Moldova’s commitment to quality assurance in vocational education at the ETF Forum in Turin

Turin, Italy | 17–18 June 2025 — Ms. Daniela Elenciuc, Chairperson of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC), represented the Republic of Moldova at the annual meeting of the ETF Forum for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training (VET), held at the European Training Foundation (ETF) headquarters in Turin.

Accompanied by Ms. Ludmila Arhiliuc, Head of the Evaluation Directorate in Vocational Education and Training, Ms. Elenciuc participated in a high-level transnational dialogue focused on strengthening national quality assurance systems in VET through mutual learning, cooperation, and exchange of best practices among ETF partner countries.

The two-day event brought together national contact persons and their alternates from the Eastern Partnership regions, the Western Balkans, and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean. As a Forum member, Moldova actively contributed to discussions on the latest national developments, shared common challenges, and innovative quality assurance tools.

Key topics addressed included:

  • Pilot testing of the Quality Assurance Diagnostic Tool in Serbia and Armenia;

  • Regulatory practices in adult education and VET in OECD and EU countries;

  • A working visit to the Public Employment Service of the Piemonte Region (Italy);

  • Experience exchange on progress made in Kosovo, Palestine, Tunisia, North Macedonia, and Serbia;

  • Planning of a peer visit to Tunisia, part of the Forum’s 2025 agenda.

Ms. Elenciuc emphasized the importance of the Republic of Moldova’s participation in such international forums, considering it essential for aligning national QA mechanisms with European trends, strengthening institutional partnerships, and consolidating ANACEC’s role in promoting excellence in technical vocational education in the country.
